BIG, BOUJEE, BEAUTIFUL

But that wasn’t all that it was.

Sustainable, considered, creative.

This wedding is one certainly worth the feature. Flowers everywhere the eye could see (without the wastage of other weddings), perfectly selected vendors to compliment both the couple and the vibe of the day and a beautiful couple to match.

Set amongst the stunning grounds of Redleaf we had ample spaces to sprinkle our magic. The beauty of this property is, you can literally hold your ceremony or reception anywhere you’d like.

For Georgia and Jake’s wedding it was a collaborative effort between us all. We were so lucky to be working alongside the mastermind of a wedding planner, Angie Marie Events. A mix of the couples vision, our ideas combined and our direction and guidance we came up with this floral wonderland. With events of this scale, trusting in your vendors is everything, and we had it. We love when we can allow our couples to just sit back, let go and be amazed. A true transformative experience through the wonder of floral design.

Our highlight? Our wrapping bar. With all our weddings, but in particular larger ones one thing we do our best to avoid at all costs is wastage. We wanted to make impact without it just being a one use kind of thing. To be more kind to the earth here’s what we did:

  • We made the suggestion of creating designs that can be used for both ceremony and reception. Not only do we get to use them twice meaning less wastage, we could create far more impact throughout the day. We hired ourselves out to relocate all florals whilst the couple were out getting their pap snaps with Khara from House of Lucie. They returned to a whole new setting filled full of flowers.

  • For our lush grazing table design inspired by the market stalls of Italy, we made it in a way that it could be later transformed into a wrapping station. Market style florals set up with natural string and twine for guests to wrap up and take home some flowers to enjoy. It was an absolute hit and a really creative alternative to the traditional party favour.

  • This is a standard for us however you may be new here. With every event we do we use mechanics that are reusable and allow us to create foam free designs. Use only locally grown flowers. We correctly separate and dispose of all rubbish and green waste as well as repurpose all that we can. Couples are encouraged to take home all the florals they like and left overs we bundle up and take to hospitals and any short cut offs go to Julie Muir Celebrant to create eco confetti with. A full circle moment.
